My wonderful friend Danielle is about to become a mama! She will be the best mom ever and I am so excited for her, but also excited for me because we can go for mom walks together and have play “coffee” dates. It will be so much fun. Not to mention becoming a mom is the most incredible experience ever!!!

I shot Danielle and Mike’s wedding last June and I would have to say that I have never seen Danielle look more beautiful than on her wedding day, so full of love, but now I believe she has never been more beautiful than she is as a mama to be, and I am sure once she is holding that baby in her arms she will top herself again. 🙂 With all the traits from these two they are going to make one awesome kid. It will likely be a great athlete, incredibly creative, very funny, have great taste in music (hopefully a Bob Marley fan for Mike’s sake), and of course be super cute. I really can’t wait to meet him or her!!!

These photos are the first half of our shoot, taken at their lovely home… the weather took a turn that day so we are waiting for a clear day to shoot the second half outdoors, so more to come soon, but I just loved these too much not to share them right away.

Aimee|Maternity Photography

Last May when I had a little baby boy growing in my belly I took a trip to Las Vegas to shoot Ben & Aimee’s wedding. Then last week I got to take maternity photos for them since Aimee now has a baby boy growing in her belly. And what a cute belly Aimee has, and what a cute baby he will be! We watched the weather and chose a beautiful day too where we were able to do some outdoor photos in addition to shooting at their awesome house.

Ben & Aimee are such a fun couple to be around. They are constantly laughing and they are so sweet with each other, I can just imagine what caring and fun parents they will be. That is one lucky little fella 🙂 and I can’t wait to meet him and take his photos in the very near future!

Best of luck to Ben & Aimee with the delivery of their baby!!!

Rory|Newborn Photography

Rory was born on February 27th, and My boys and I got to meet her in the hospital on leap day when she was just 2 days old. She is such a little beauty, just like her mama, Teagan. She was born before her due date (and right before we were supposed to do Teagan’s maternity photos… bummer) and during our newborn shoot, when she was 8 days old, it was obvious she was still not quite ready to be away from her mama. 🙂 We tried to get some sleepy baby photos but Rory had other plans for us that day… but we still got some great shots of her sweet little face and I love the family photos we got too. These 3 look good together. 🙂

Scott & Nina|Wedding Photography

On February 18th Scott & Nina got married at the Oaks Pioneer Church, which is the cutest little church ever. I shot a wedding there a few years ago and I was so excited to get a chance to go back. Nina also got ready for her big day, along with her awesome mom and beautiful daughter, at the Hotel Deluxe, which is such an awesome hotel that I LOVE to shoot at. And following the ceremony they had their reception at Masu, which is a sushi restaurant in SW Portland that I had never been to, but it had the most amazing natural light ever. I wish I could do all of my shoots there 🙂 and I will definitely be going back. It also has a really cool red wall, which we used for a few final shots as I was heading out. So overall the settings of the day were perfect, and the couple was too. Scott and Nina were so sweet to watch together, constantly laughing, and clearly always thinking of each other. Scott was the perfect gentleman always taking very good care of his lady, and it was obvious that Nina was so proud to be with Scott. Days like this one make me thankful for so many things… my job, my clients, and it was a great reminder of what is really important. Thank you Scott and Nina for being such a beautiful example of love! My husband, Greg, shot video of their wedding too and it is always an extra bonus getting to work with him so basically all in all it was a perfect day. Oh yeah… and the rain let up so we could do outdoor photos as well… just too perfect. 🙂

Scott and Nina are also photographers and I am super excited to have them do family photos for Greg and I sometime in the near future! Plus it is such a great compliment to have another photographer hire you to shoot, so thank you so much Scott and Nina, for the compliment and for having me be a part of your beautiful day! Congrats and best wishes on your future together!

Kenzie Jean|Newborn Photography

On February 16th Kenzie Jean was born and I got to meet her (and take her photos) less than an hour after she came into the world. Here are just a few shots from that evening…


I also did photos of her when she was 10 days old. She was so sleepy throughout the shoot, which was a real treat for me because I find that most babies really like to be wide awake with me. 🙂 I really loved how these turned out and I had so much fun and felt so honored being a part of this amazing time in Annisa & Randy’s lives as they welcomed their baby girl into the world.
