Hello! Welcome to the elle images blog and thanks so much for stopping by! This is where you will find my most recent work.

A little info about me... my name is Laura, and I am the owner and photographer of elle images. I was born and raised in Aloha, Oregon but I have always been a sunshine girl which is a big reason why I found myself in Arizona for my last years of college. After getting my degree in photography from Northern Arizona University, I decided to move back to the Great Northwest. I started elle images in 2005 and I feel so grateful to have had the amazing clients that I have over the years, along with the support from my friends and family. And also starting my business lead me to meet my husband while we were both shooting a wedding in 2007. He was a wedding videographer, and still does video work on occasion, and always has a creative project in the works. In 2011 we welcomed our first son, Hayden, into the world and in 2016 we welcomed our second son, Ryland, into the world. My boys are my everything and being their mom is the thing I am most grateful for in this life! Motherhood has taught me so much and I think has made me a better photographer (and human) too. I love photographing people but children are what really inspire me the most. Each child is unique and I always try my best to connect with, and photograph who they truly are on my shoots.
No matter what I am doing my goal these days is to do my best to enjoy each moment as it comes and stay in the present. One thing I have learned is that life will continue to surprise us and we never really know what is just around the corner, but after all the highs and lows I have been through, I welcome it all and know everything and every person has something beautiful for me to embrace or to teach me.

I specialize in natural light, lifestyle photography and I absolutely love what I do. Being able to share special moments with people in their lives and create record of those memories for them makes me thankful everyday. Not to mention all the friendships I have made along the way. Scott & Renee|Engagement Photography

Taking engagement photos for Scott and Renee was so much fun! They are so easy to be around, so fun and funny, and by the end of the shoot I felt like I definitely had two new friends. I loved their sweet dog, Troy too! We also got the best day ever for the shoot, it was a little chilly, but the sun was shining and that made us all very happy, and provided a beautiful sunset which Renee was really hoping for. Renee is from Texas and she told me that she wanted the barn and her boots to be in the photos, and there are few things that I love more as details for photos than a cool old barn and a cute pair of cowboy boots, so we were definitly on the same page. In fact, I liked her boots so much that after the shoot I had to copy her and go get myself the same pair. 🙂

Thanks so much to Scott & Renee (and Troy) for the awesome shoot and best of luck on your future together! You are such a great couple and just perfect for eachother!

Isabella|Newborn Photography

Ema & Samir are such a beautiful couple, inside and out, so it wasn’t surprising that they created such a beautiful little girl. Isabella is seriously so cute, I had so much fun taking photos of her sweet little face, and little toes, and little everything else. One of my favorite things as a photographer is being able to be a part of a couple’s wedding and then to see their family grow and to get to capture all these special moments all surrounding love and family. There is nothing more special and it makes me so thankful that this is my job. Here are some of my favorites of this gorgeous family, can’t wait for our next shoot!!!

Paige|Newborn Photography

Last summer I met the Hoagland family during a extended family shoot I did with them and a few weeks ago they added one more to their family. Paige was 10 days old for our shoot and so perfectly tiny and new. I am so excited that they have hired me to do photos throughout her first year of life so there will be many more photos of Paige, and her big brother Parker, and her awesome parents to come.

Austin Dean|Newborn Photography

Last week I got to spend the day with 2 week old Austin. He is so cute and even though he wasn’t a super happy guy most of the shoot you wouldn’t know it from the photos we got. Mission accomplished! 🙂 He is one photogenic little baby and I am hoping he has been giving Mom and Dad a few more restful nights since last week. Now that I have a little one of my own I can fully understand the tiredness that goes along with having a newborn… but it’s all worth it! Here are some of my favorites of Austin…
